Feel Good About Shopping with For Goodness Sake

by Arcelya Morales November 18, 2014

In an ideal world all our shopping would be beneficial for other people, not just our own closets. Now there's another charitable shopping outlet to help soothe your conscience. For Goodness Sake is a new organization focusing on making shopping philanthropic. Pam Baer, the founder, has collaborated with designers to curate a shop full of unique pieces and each purchase will benefit a local "cause partner" like San Francisco General Hospital or Glide. The goal: to "shop with a purpose" and make art and culture move the needle on social issues.

The good news is that the pieces are actually super high quality and many are exclusive collaborations with the designers. Baer worked closely with each designer and played a critical role in the design of each piece. You can expect to find gold bangles and ID bracelets, fun printed pillows, totes, scarves, bow ties and socks for men, and some exclusive Giants merchandise including needlepoint flasks and a bottle opener made out of a Giants game bat. Prices range from $25 to $500.

For Goodness Sake is launching online in early December, just in time to do some philanthropic holiday shopping. For first dibs when the collection goes live, sign up here.
